Popular Marketing is looking for a motivated Account Manager to join our robust sales team. Our well-established and continuously growing client base provides opportunities for valuable industry experience and personal growth. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing existing relationships with advertisers as part of our online performance marketing operations. As the right candidate learns the business, the job would grow into opportunity for new client prospecting and acquisition and eventually to a business development or sales executive position.

This position reports directly to the Director of Business Development and will work closely with many cross-functional team members on all aspects of the marketing operations. No prior experience necessary but a strong understanding of online technologies and an extremely aggressive work ethic is imperative. This is a great opportunity for a go-getter to learn and grow quickly in an exciting and lucrative industry.

This position will require at least part time work at the office once company re-opens office near El Segundo in coming weeks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • /01 Manage day to day operations with existing advertisers, including:
      • Communicating with clients regularly to get and provide feedback on campaign performance.
      • Work with marketing team on campaign caps, price adjustments, start and stop notices received from clients.
      • Optimizing marketing creatives between internal media team and the clients.
      • Generate and disseminate applicable reports.
      • Work closely with marketing team to relay client feedback and campaign optimization.
  • /02 Assist sales team in prospect for new clients using online tools, website forums and reviewing ads on websites.
  • /03 Meet with partners and attend industry conferences.
  • /04 Analyze statistics on a daily basis and maximize revenue, identify opportunities, optimize campaigns and troubleshoot issues.
  • /05 Staying current with best practices, strategies, and industry standards in online marketing to proactively assist with compliance.
  • /06 Interface with Affiliate Managers in order generate traffic on managed campaigns.
  • /07 Interface with finance, clients and production team in facilitation of client/campaign paperwork.
  • /08 Build strong client relationships on existing book of business through regular communication.
  • /09 Coordinate with Account Executives and Account Managers to create customized sales plans for incremental revenue.
  • /10 Up-sell/cross-sell on suggested company services based on team feedback.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates will be considered in totality of their skills and experience versus strict interpretation of “requirements.”

  • /01 Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Statistics or Computer Science (or prior account management or sales experience).
  • /02 Familiarity with web technologies including email, reporting tools, display advertising, social media and mobile web and apps.
  • /03 Excellent communication skills.
  • /04 Strong aptitude for Excel, Google Docs and PowerPoint.
  • /05 Strong ability in math and statistics.
  • /06 Ability to succeed in and enjoy a fast-paced, quick-witted environment.
  • /07 Availability to travel on occasion for trade shows.
  • /08 Ability to quickly learn and adapt to technical systems and in-house reporting tools.
  • /09 Positive, can-do and whatever-it-takes attitude!
