Passionate about working with children and a good knowledge of maths and English? Become a tutor or assistant and join our team.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, happy to learn and available to work during our opening hours.
For the tutoring assistants, workbooks are all prepared. Your role is to monitor your students' progress, communicate that with myself and mark some work especially the children's writing tasks. It is important for applicants to be confident with primary maths level material and comfortable to explain and mark persuasive, narrative and recount writing skills. You'll always have the support of a senior tutor to further explain or help you when you fall into a bit of a pickle with the students or teaching material. No prior experience required.
For tutors, you will be working with high schoolers and must have a good ability with maths, English and be able to interpret school assessments to provide students with help.
The best thing is, you just need to rock up to work for your regular shifts in Inala and don't have to take anything home to mark. Material/resources provided so no stress about preparing work beforehand. No need to search up addresses or go into a stranger's home.
Pay rates will be dependent on age, responsibility and experience. Shifts range from a minimum of 2.5 to max of 5 hours per day. Our operating hours are Wednesday and Friday 4pm - 6.30pm, Saturdays 9-11.30am then 12.30pm -5.30pm and Sundays 2.15pm - 4.45pm. School Holidays off.
