Counterparty Credit Risk Business Analyst

As a Barclays Counterparty Credit Risk Business Analyst, you’ll be responsible for the co-ordination, planning & performing analysis tasks for specialist applications, managing internal domain analysis resources for one or more components of a programme. You’ll also act as a reviewer and quality gate for analysis output, aiding IT to ensure root cause is addressed and the right design delivered for user requirements. Moreover, you’ll participate in helping to perform system training for new users, or when new functionality is released.

- Providing support to the Lead Business Analyst, helping to define approach in line with the strategic vision of the programme
- Articulating and presenting commercial effectiveness of requirement proposals within a project or initiative
- Facing off to one or many businesses areas/SME's understanding high level requirements and supporting where necessary
- Working to elicit, validate and document systems requirements in either BRDs or user/feature stories depending on the SDLC in use by the development teams
- Participating in the Design process coordinated by the Programme Management team, from Design approval to functional design completion
- Supporting the Testing Strategy and input into the coverage of Test scenarios and conditions ensuring all requirements in scope are tested
- Owning the resolution of defects pertaining to requirement during testing and design working with test teams and SMEs
- Experience of Data Analysis e.g., Working with big datasets, creating simple/medium SQL queries, confident Excel user
- Experience of preparing and issuing a range of key business analysis deliverables e.g., Requirements Documentation
- Understanding of Risk domain fundamentals – Credit Risk - e.g., Probability of Default, Loss Given Default, Exposure at Default & Potential Future Exposure
- Market Risk – Value at Risk, Stress Testing & Greeks concepts understanding
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Has enough knowledge of specialist area to be credible with business users and SMEs; is still developing SME knowledge in several areas
- Limited experience of the software development lifecycle, the roles and responsibilities on large projects and the motivations of the actors involved
- Experience of communicating with a wide array of people including experience of stakeholder management at various levels e.g., AVP, VP, D, MD, and the like
