Director - APAC Air Freight Strategy & Development [Singapore]


 
Purpose -

  • Facilitate and drive implementation of global transformation program, air freight strategy and corresponding regional strategic initiatives
  • Act as regional SPOC for all global strategy and development-related matters together with HO team towards cluster strategy & development (S&D) resources
  • Ensure that development, implementation and management of digital products, services and strategic projects in Schenker air freight are aligned to the needs of air freight customers

    Strategy planning, communication, execution & monitoring towards cluster S&D resources
  • Acting as strategic consultant to support the clusters and countries within the region for their strategy implementation
  • Implementing and managing Global Airfreight Strategy program consistently in line with global direction
  • Facilitating, driving and designing strategy implementation program in line with global priorities
  • Taking over Project Management Office (PMO) for global Air Freight strategic initiatives in Asia Pacific Region
  • Ensuring proper program management and harmonization of all Air Freight initiatives within the region and global team
  • Establishing and managing PMO structures and processes for transformation and strategy program implementation and tracking
  • Driving and steering strategy projects (e.g. Perishables) and digitalization programs for Air Freight in conjunction with global S&D team.
  • Implementing and management of specific strategy projects together with global team within the region (e.g. Perishables, productivity optimization, eCommerce, etc.)
  • Defining and establishing scalable target operating models for digital products/ services in alignment with Global Air Freight direction & strategy
  • Establishing and managing collaboration between Air Freight and other business units to develop, implement and run strategy projects and/or digital products services
  • Identifying, establishing and managing external partnerships to drive strategy projects and/or digital products/ services portfolio and performance for the region
  • Support global and APAC regional head of airfreight with specific assigned projects & initiatives
  • Preparing and designing presentations for management meetings
  • Standardizing KPI figures/data presentation for air freight on global/ regional / country levels

  • Profiles from various industries are encouraged. However, candidates with experience in the logistics business will be preferred.
  • Experience in a similar capacity for at least 10 years is necessary with graduate/post-graduate degree.
