Overview

The Software Engineer, Workforce Management (WFM) is responsible for the maintenance and development of the organization’s WFM tools. In this role you are responsible for maximizing the usability of the tool and helping business create additional ROI through implementing efficiencies within labor scheduling and time and attendance platforms. In this role you will be responsible for the change and incident process of the WFM. Foot Locker uses Kronos and Blue Yonder WFM Systems.


The Software Engineer, WFM
will work closely with numerous different departments and stakeholders, including HR, HRMS, CX&S, payroll and other departments in IS&T.

Responsibilities

  • Effective management of WFM system, including configuration
  • Effective management of system enhancements and upgrades
  • Effective collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Work with international teams to align on WFM strategy and project initiatives
  • Represent the team in sessions which effect the WFM environment
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with the Vendor in order to understand their roadmap
  • Help Business Define test scenarios, define test plans and execute test scenarios for upgrades
  • Participate with user acceptance testing in case of changes to the WFM system
  • Provide support to super users across all functions
  • Identify and advice on technical improvements to ensure system stability and performance enhancement by working with the teams involved.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an IS&T discipline preferred or comparable experience in these areas.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with work force management systems.
  • Kronos and Blue Yonder system knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of WFM components of time, pay, forecasting and scheduling.
  • Experience implementing and supporting WFM applications.
  • Experience in defining processes, test scenarios and executing test plans.
  • Technical skills in regard to system interfaces (API/XML/SQL).
  • A change advocate, not satisfied with status quo.
  • Effectively communicate with senior management.
  • Demonstrates a sense of ownership - a results-oriented self-starter and risk taker.
  • Independent as well as a team player.
  • Passion, energy and enthusiasm.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
