Job requirements:


  • Matric
  • Must have 3 years of experience working with Sage 300 People.
  • Payroll certificate will be an advantage.

Main Purpose

  • Process & Maintain Weekly & Monthly Wages Payroll. Provide all the necessary payroll reports to the Finance and Salaries departments.

Job responsibilities:


  • End-to-end processing of company payroll for wage staff: Weekly and Monthly
  • Collate payroll information, process, produce reports, and distribute to relevant managers and departments and file accordingly.
  • Prepare reports of monthly contributions to be incorporated into the final reports to be submitted to the relevant recipients/statutory authorities.
  • Prepare all payroll-related reports for the Manager & Finance department.
  • Input new employees and terminations on the system, as well as changes to information.
  • Handle staff queries regarding payroll
  • Run month-end processes.
  • Prepare and maintain related payroll records and reports.
  • Work closely with Group Human Resources
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with TAX and Financial Year-end processing and reconciliation.
  • Assist with Annual Finance Audit
  • Ad hoc HR and Payroll matters
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the direct Manager or Director
  • Process month end – Submit monthly External Reports & schedules. i.e. MIBFA (SEIFSA), Sizwe Medical Aid, Insurances, etc.
  • Capture hours and input all information on the Sage 300 People system, manage the TNA Time and Attendance System

  • Office based.
  • Is subject to work beyond normal working hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays should the need arise.
  • Required to attend and participate in continuing educational programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your profession.
  • A legal driving license.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, including formal and official communication and making presentations.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances so warrant.
  • A sense of urgency with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Hard working, resourceful, and ambitious with excellent business acumen.
  • Have a sense of urgency.
  • Understand and be able to meet the requirement of timely and accurate payroll processing.
