Senior Quality and Product Assurance Manager

iO associates are partnering with a space company in Luxembourg who require a Lead Quality and Product Assurance Manager to join their team. Our client focus on space systems, especially for Micro Satellites.
As Lead Quality and Product Assurance Manager you will be the central point of contact for all issues and processes regarding Quality and Product Assurance in the company. This will include working within the companies guidelines of compliance and ensuring internal and external standards are met.
Role responsibilities :
  • In this role, you will be in charge of continuously improving, implementing, and managing our clients product assurance and quality program to meet specific requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the our clients Quality Management System (QMS). Your key tasks will include interfacing with project managers to ensure that all contractual provisions and schedule planning related to Product Assurance and Quality activities are effectively fulfilled.
  • You will collaborate with risk management, engineering, procurement, and AIV functions to coordinate tasks involving Product Assurance activities. As the main point of contact for Product Assurance matters within projects, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability of materials, mechanical parts, processes, and electrical components used in spacecraft and launchers throughout their missions.
  • Moreover, you will chair project-related reviews with suppliers and actively participate in customer reviews. Handling disagreements and conflicts of interest will also fall under your responsibilities. Efficient management of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Request for Deviation (RFD), Request for Waiver (RFW), and Request for Approval (RFA) using appropriate tools will be part of your daily tasks.
  • Additionally, you will act as the Data Protection Officer, overseeing data protection matters. In cases of non-compliance by the company, you will take appropriate measures to minimise any potential consequences. Providing proactive support and guidance to management and departments is a key aspect of this role.
  • You will also focus on team members' development and competency building. Regularly reporting on the status of quality, project assurance, and data protection activities is another vital part of your role. Furthermore, you will be expected to fulfil any other duties assigned by your manager as required.
Role requirements :
  • University degree, preferably in Engineering field
  • 3+ Years experience in a Senior Quality and/or Product Assurance Mangement role within the Space industry, preferably with Satellites
  • Experience with audits both external and internal, experience with working with suppliers and customers is a must
  • ISO 9001 auditing experience
  • Fluent in English written and spoken
