What part will you play?

As IT Operations Analyst (f/m/d) Firewall you will be responsible for planning, administration and 2nd level support of firewall and SSL VPN solutions in the high security data center in Munich (DE), Ohio (USA) and Singapore.

In your role, you will implement defined procedures and processes specific to data center firewall operations and perform related operational and/or support activities.

• You will be responsible for the design and operation of the FW infrastructure including configuration of firewalls and SSL VPN gateways
• Troubleshooting and fault clearance will be a part of your responsibilities
• You will analyze and optimize internal processes with extension of automation
• You will be responsible for optimizing the firewall and SSL VPN infrastructure in terms of costs and benefits, as well as for documenting the network plans from an L2 and L3 perspective, including CMDB
• You will be responsible for monitoring and managing firewalls and SSL-VPN gateways of several data centers
• You will also be responsible for vulnerability management with documentation and mitigation
• You will support projects for the introduction of new firewall and remote access technologies and the development of new individual solutions
• In addition, you will regularly coordinate with other departments regarding requirements and security aspects and communicate with suppliers and manufacturers (e.g. Checkpoint, Palo Alto)

What you need to make real what matters.

• You have a degree in computer science (University, FH, BA) or a similar education and several years of experience in the mentioned field
• You have one to three years of experience in network firewall and remote access environments
• You have very good knowledge in Cloud Technology (AWS, Azure), Firewall & Routing and Ivanti SSL VPN Gateways and are an expert in CheckPoint and Palo Alto Firewalls
• You bring analytical skills and strong communication and presentation skills
• You have experience in creating and maintaining scripts preferably with Python
• High level of results orientation, willingness to be on-call, and Technical English know-how round off your profile
