Are you an IT / ERP professional and want to be part of a true business transformation?
Valmet is going full speed ahead with its business process transformation project, Leap Forward. This transformation program is rolling out new ERP processes and covers every part of Valmet’s business globally.
As part of the Leap Forward program we will strengthen the team with a Technical application and system specialist.
In your daily work you will
- Manage the information systems on own area of responsibility so that they function reliably, meet the organization's business needs, and use the organization's IT resources effectively
- Plan, prioritize, and manage the implementation of system upgrades to minimize disruptions to business activities and use the organization's IT resources effectively
- Oversee the design, development, and testing of information systems so that they meet the organization's current and future business needs
- Select, and manage ongoing relationships with, external consultants and suppliers (for example, software designers and service vendors) to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service
- Work independently to complete given assignments and projects
- Building concept & implementing user management process for Infor LN ERP
- Building concept together with IT Specialists & implementing user authorizations to Infor LN ERP
To succeed in this position, we expect you to have
- M.Sc./B.Sc. level degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years applicable working experience preferably from a global, matrix organization
- Previous experience with ERP (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Baan, Infor LN). Experience of Infor Technology is an advantage.
- Experience of leading projects in multivendor and matrix organization
- Good knowledge in Azure Cloud is advantage
- Understanding Application maintenance & Integrations with Surrounding systems
- Understanding of ITIL process
- Ability to make things happen.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic work environment
- Good communication, team work and fluent language skills both written and verbal in English is a must.

Additional information
In this role you will report to Mika Kaunismäki, Manager, LN Platforms. The project team operates in Järvenpää. Järvenpää is the primary location but also Jyväskylä and Tampere can be taken into consideration.
