UABOS Turkey LN: Supply Chain Specialist

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrate strong analytical skills to accurately assess project requirements, construction needs, or vehicle maintenance tasks, effectively identifying and coordinating the necessary materials and manpower for successful execution.
• Ensuring all purchased products and materials meet the required specifications.
• Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and document discrepancies.
• Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered.
• Stay updated on market trends, new products, and innovations relevant to the industry.
• Liaise with KBR Expediting regarding updates and details of goods.
• Monitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positive.
• Ensure accurate documentation of all issued materials, maintaining comprehensive records of inventory transactions and stock movement.
• Perform periodic inventories of stock as required and complete a 100% inventory annually.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory stock area, ensuring that materials are properly and efficiently stored, labeled, and readily accessible for efficient operations.
• Ensure compliance with supply chain policies, regulations, and ethical practices.
• Prepare supply chain status reports as requested.
• Track and ensure efficient calibrations and re-certifications.
• Research and interpret Turkish and US government regulations, company policies, and US Air Force instructions, rules, regulations, and policies.
• Perform other tasks as directed by the supervisor, operations, and program management.

Duties and responsibilities may evolve, and change based on the needs of the project and the organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

• Must be a Turkish citizen.
• Must be able to speak, read and write the English language at a 3 level.
• Current B driver’s license
• Current and favorable Turkish security background check.
• University degree in a relevant field, or in Construction Technical Vocational School
• For Male Candidates, Fulfilled Turkish Military obligation.
• Obtain and pass a medical physical and certified by doctor.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Capable of performing lifting and similar physical tasks required for lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading up to 25kg.
• Flexible to work long hours as demanded by projects.
• Proven experience working as a procurement specialist in the same area required.
• Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions
• Able to travel to meet vendors and suppliers as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with a broad range of technical materials, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, construction, paint, metalwork, cleaning supplies, and pest management equipment vehicle equipment and parts, service, and maintenance contracts.
• Ability to read and interpret technical catalogs, product specifications, and engineering documents related to various materials and equipment used in building maintenance.
• Knowledge of Turkish and US government regulations and procedures
• Experience with procurement-related software applications such as Cost Point and NexGen
• Forklift license
